Opened in August 1999, Montparnasse is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Southsea. From the beginning the aim was to bring laid-back fine dining to Portsmouth and Southsea. John Saunders the proprietor has over 30 years experience in the restaurant business and has perfected an attentive yet unobtrusive style of service in a friendly atmosphere.
Montparnasse prides itself on using only the freshest and finest ingredients (sourced locally wherever possible) and all our meals are prepared to perfection. We regularly change our menu and in addition we hold our very popular seasonal food and wine pairing dinners.
The restaurant is the perfect destination for the discerning diner and we also offer a private dining room for up to 30 people suitable for weddings, conferences, birthday dinners and any other special occasion.
